Intro to Sport

powered by the 2023 Canada Games Legacy Fund

As a part of our role as the provincial sport organization for disc golf in Prince Edward Island, we have the responsibility to teach and grow the sport to Islanders and help guide the next generation of disc golfers, new and old. Our goal is to put as many discs in hands as possible and to grow interest in the sport across a wide variety of demographics and regions in the province.

Through funds awarded by the 2023 Canada Games Legacy Fund, these Intro to Sport offerings have been made possible. Through this funding, we have been able to train qualified instructors, purchase demo discs and baskets, and supply snacks and prizes for each learning session we offer – a total of 66 clinics island-wide in 2025 & 2026.

Intro to Sport Overview

An all-encompassing 45-75 minute session taught by Disc Golf PEI instructors based on the teachings from UPlay Disc Golf that covers the basics of disc golf including putting, throwing stances, a bit of theory, and fun games and little challenges. Perfect for all ages and skill levels!

Locations

Thanks to the 2023 Canada Games Legacy Fund, we are able to offer these Intro to Sport sessions in 25+ communities across all three counties.
